This a wonderful school. The teachers are great. The principals take a hands on approach. They really help prepare these kids for college. The AP and Pre Ap programs are great. This school offers a wide variety of activities. I have been involved with several of these and enjoy every minute. From football, powerlifting, drill team, student council, FCCLA, FFA, and the Ready Set Teach Program, this school has it all. My kids are having a wonderful time and will have many great memories. Go Panthers!!

Academic programs are above average, they take a very hands on approach to learning. This town centers around the football team which really builds a lot of excitement. Parental involvement is the best I have seen.

The teachers and administrators have a real concern for the students education and now with the addition of a police officer on campus they seem to be taking a proactive approach to the students safety.

My daughter transferred to this school from one in Arlington, Texas. Her grades immediately improved. She loves the students and faculty due to such caring nature. Parental involvement is excellent but the faculty itself knows the students on a first name basis. The kids that attend this school are welcoming and very kind. Excellent morals and values.

Midlothian offers a high quality education that include many advanced placement courses (and pre AP) that are taught by experienced teachers. The music program is excellent (especially band) as is the drama department, and Midlolthian problem sovling teams (both middle school and high school) have long traditions of placing nationally. As with many Texas schools, football is king, and there have been some controversial issues surrounding that program. I feel the focus on football is extreme especially when there are so many talented athletes that play other sports.

I am concerned about their approach to Special Ed students. My son is not getting the help he is supposed to. I am very disappointed.

The high school councelors are over loaded. But they will work very hard to help your student. As a parent you have to stay on top of any special need situations for your child. Very strong math program. Your child must study to do well.
